La nostra Storia (Our Story)
When Franco Cacace left his hometown of Sorrento, Italy and moved to the United States his simple dream was to present the great food and traditions of Italy. With this dream in mind, Franco established the first Arrivederci restaurant in 1994 in San Diego, California. Although lots of challenges and hurdles to overcome, Franco persevered and, still today, Arrivederci is one of the most recognized Italian restaurants in San Diego, known for its fine Italian cuisine.
Franco was ultimately introduced to Scottsdale, Arizona, and it’s upscale vibe, and he and his son, Gaetano Cacace, opened a 2nd Arrivederci in 1996 bringing their spin of flavorful fine Italian cuisine to Arizona. All these years later, Arrivederci continues to flourish and still prepares and serves simple, but tremendously flavorful, fine Italian cuisine that represents the best of Italy.
Angelo Zarlenga, a childhood friend and cousin of Gaetano, discovered the beautiful setting of Fountain Hills and it was a clear that he and Gaetano wanted to be part of this great community, a community that reminded them of Italy in many ways. They decided upon creating a new twist to the original Arrivederci concept and Arrivederci Cucina Italiana was born. Arrivederci Cucina Italiana features signature, traditional Italian dishes and also a variety of new and exciting modern Italian dishes.
